Lake Forest Academy,

...(LFA) in Lake Forest, Illinois, is located just 25 minutes north of Chicago and right off of Interstate 94. It is convenient to Chicago's O’Hare Airport. The facilities offer a quiet and inviting atmosphere. The campus is easy to navigate, with dorms and dining facilities and the sports center, where we dance, all around a large open green space.

The Crown Fitness and Wellness Center,

...where dance workshops and parties take place, is a short walk across the Quad from the two dorms. The new gym is now completed and features a triple sized air-conditioned space with a walking track above that gives an overview, and a wood floor. We will also use the nearby Dance Room for our social events and Boutique. The entire building is now air-conditioned.

Dining

...is in the new JC Cowart Student Center located at the end of the quad near the dorms. The Dining Hall has a salad and sandwich bar and a variety of hot food stations. They do an excellent job providing an array of delicious options for every guest including vegetarians, gluten free, and those with special dietary preferences/restrictions.

For June Camp, participants can expect to be housed in one of two residence halls, Ferry or Atlass Halls. Both air-conditioned buildings offer single and double rooms, with no more than 5 rooms to a nearby bathroom. Both dorms have elevators and comfortable lounges, along with available kitchen facilities and refrigerators. Beds in most rooms will be bunk beds, however, we plan for campers to use only the bottom bunks in all rooms, unless you choose to have more than two people in a room.

Hotel Options

The nearby hotels are unfortunately not within walking distance. For those with transport available, it is a short drive, and there is ample parking on campus.

We have arranged a block of 5 king (1 bed) rooms and 5 queen (2 beds) rooms available at the Hilton Garden Inn -- Lake Forest, 26225 N. Riverwoods Boulevard, Mettawa, IL 60045. These rooms will be available for the rate of $154 for the king, or $159 for the 2-bed queen per night (plus tax, which adds about 11%), and must be reserved directly with the hotel no later than 6 p.m. on May 22, 2025. To reserve, contact the Reservations Department at 800-445-8667 and ask for a room in the June Camp - International Folk Dance block, or use this dedicated booking link: group.hiltongardeninn.com/mkgy3e . In the special request box, ask for a room on the west side away from the highway and facing the parking to avoid traffic noise. Reservations not cancelled more than 24 hours prior to arrival, or no shows, will be charged a one night’s room rate and tax fee to the credit card guarantee on the reservation.
